SATELLITE CHANGSHU-1 LAUNCHED TO SUPPORT REMOTE SENSING IN DELTA

Published:2021-10-27

A satellite named Changshu-1 was sent into space by a Kuaizhou-1A, or KZ-1A, carrier rocket from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in Northwest China's Gansu Province, on October 27.

With a high resolution, large width and high-speed data transmission, the satellite will be used to support natural resources surveying, environment monitoring, urban governance and disaster prevention in Changshu as well as the broader Yangtze River Delta region. The satellite independently developed by partner CGSTL.

The satellite will join a network of 30 Jinlin-1 satellites to provide remote sensing images and rich data products for government and industrial users.
