On December 7, "Tianjin University No.1 Satellite" was successfully launched in Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center with the launcher "CERES-1", and the satellite entered the preset orbit, marking the success of this launching mission.

"Tianjin University No.1 Satellite" is a new meteorological satellite jointly developed by partner CGSTL and Tianjin Yunyao Aerospace Technology Co., Ltd. based on the development of “Jilin-1 Satellite”. In addition, it combines the design concept of cubic star innovatively and is featured with a short R&D period, high technical integration, light weight, small size, low cost, etc. As the first satellite of this type for technical identification, "Tianjin University No. 1" Satellite will not only complete the required in-orbit operations, but also carry out in-orbit verification on the rationality and reliability of the design of the satellite platform and payload, laying a technical foundation for the mass production of subsequent business satellites.

"Tianjin University No. 1" Satellite is an important part of Yunyao Constellation Network, and its successful launch marks the official launch of the “Yunyao Constellation” Program, which is expected to complete the entire meteorological satellite network by the end of 2023.
